The President and Mrs. Obama are on a state visit to the UK, so  naturally the crucial question is what did Michelle and Kate wear?!?  Here you see the pretty and proper Kate, looking simply chic in a dress from British retailer Reiss that sells for $285. Michelle looks smashing in a gray dress from California-based designer Barbara Tfank,  with a "peony pink" bolero and gun metal sling-backs.  I know you can't see her shoes in this picture, but I just love saying "gun metal sling-backs." I also love that our First Lady is fashion-forward with her own sense of style.
