As the weather gets hot, short hairstyles have become increasingly popular. For those who dare to live a little and cut their hair off, short haircuts are low maintenance, fun and most importantly stylish. Those who need a little motivation can look all around them as well as at the celebrity world to see people who are rocking short dos.

The short pixie cut is one of the most popular short hairstyles. Ladies like the ease of styling as well as the great and mature look that it portrays. For a short pixie cut, the longest hair is generally on the top. Some ladies like to showcase a lot of volume on top and the hair may be spiked up to garner attention. The sides of the hair are generally tapered closely to the face which definitely frames the face.

This is a great cut for anyone who wants to showcase their best facial features. Pixie cuts generally have very short and often layered sides so there is no hair hanging down on the neck. There are no extra distractions. The longest hair which is up top may be curled or stacked on the head to create a different look but the face remains the important feature.

Many celebrities such as Katie Holmes, Alyssa Milano, Rihanna, Winona Ryder and others like pixie cuts because they want to showcase their beautiful faces and appeal to their audience. The great thing about pixie cuts is that this style is more than just cutting the hair really short. Ladies can experiment with different lengths on top as well as the layers on the side.

Suri Cruise Eating Flip Flop

Suri Cruise and Katie Holmes were out and about in New York when, all of a sudden, Suri Cruise thought it would be a good idea to chew on her flip flops. And your question is, "Well, was she wearing them before that?" Yes, yes she was.

Suri Cruise was walking the very dirty streets of New York before she decided that eating her shoes was a scrumptious idea. And in Katie Holmes' defense, she can't see what her daughter is doing and I'm sure the pappos didn't say a word.

Nevertheless, that's probably the least harmless thing that Suri Cruise, or any toddler, will be putting in her mouth. I mean, I picked up gum off the street once and put it in my mouth. And I'm 34.

Katie Holmes Looks Beautiful with Hair Extensions

Katie Holmes got herself some hair extensions and, I gotta say, she looks incredibly hot. I had forgotten how beautiful Katie Holmes looked with her longer hair.

Tom Cruise doesn't look too impressed by her new look; he probably prefers the boy cut, for obvious reasons. Katie Holmes does, however, wow the crowd at the Valkyrie premiere in Japan.

I'm guessing that Tom Cruise is probably getting pissed that Katie Holmes' hair extensions is drawing more attention than Valkyrie ever will.

Tom Cruise Wants 10 Children

If Tom Cruise gets his way, Katie Holmes will need to rest up because he has 10 children in mind for the future. Tom Cruise already has 3 so Katie Holmes only needs to pop out 7 more and his life will be complete.

I'm not really sure how Katie Holmes will feel upon discovering that Tom Cruise told The Sun that he would love to have 10 children. I'm guessing he wants to give Brad Pitt and the crew a run for their money.

Let's wait and see what Katie Holmes has to say about Tom Cruise's latest comment. Then again, I think he has forbade her from talking to the press.

Celebrity Flaw of the Day - Katie Holmes Cold Sore

Katie Holmes was starting to look very beautiful or a while there, but she's now starting to look like a very tall boy. But that's not what her flaw is; her flaw is that she has a case of herpes going on around her mouth. Ouch!

I remember in 2005, Katie Holmes had a pretty nasty cold sore outbreak and this isn't nearly as bad, but it's pretty nasty nonetheless.

Katie Holmes is probably happy about the outbreak because it means she doesn't have to kiss Tom Cruise for a while. Which also begs the question: Is Katie Holmes allowed to use Abreva? Hmm...

Joshua Jackson Reunites With Katie Holmes

In an effort to get to the root of what's got Katie Holmes so depressed (I'll give you one guess), Joshua Jackson (yes, Pacey from Dawson's Creek), Katie Holme's ex-boyfriend and co-star, paid her a visit with some flowers.

Joshua Jackson was worried about Katie Holmes seeing that she was down all the time and hasn't been spending any quality time with the old crew since hooking up with Tom Cruise and having Suri.

Katie Holmes gave him a big old hug and the two had sex right there on the street for everyone to see. Take that, Scientology! Just kidding, but that would've made a great story had I had the pictures to prove it.

Nevertheless, the two hung out and shot the breeze and you know that Tom Cruise is going to ramp up the drugs and hypnotism sessions to ensure that this never happens again. For all we know, Joshua Jackson, the star of the new X-Files-like show called Fringe, might meet with an unfortunate accident. Stay tuned.

Victoria Beckham New Hairstyle

So Victoria Beckham, who is considered a style icon despite her skeletal figure and pig nose, has decided to try a new hairstyle and change things up a bit. Personally, I think the new hairstyle makes Victoria Beckham look even skinnier, if that's even possible, but that's likely the look that Victoria Beckham going for with this new hairstyle anyway.

Of course, this means that all the Hollywood sheep [read: Katie Holmes, Eva Longoria] will soon be sporting this boy cut in no time, so we'll have a bunch of women who look like boys in Hollywood within weeks.

Now don't get me wrong; some women, namely Halle Berry, look phenomenal with a hairstyle such as this, but there aren't many Halle Berrys lurking around LA anymore.

Shiloh Jolie Pitt vs. Suri Cruise

In what I can only call the lowest of the low, Star magazine is using its cover to pit Shiloh Jolie Pitt against Suri Cruise all in a bid to sell more magazines. The sad part? It's working.

The rag is making Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's Shiloh out to be a down-to-earth kind of gal while Suri is pitted as being in control of her parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and essentially runs things in the household.

Star also points out that Shiloh binges on cookies while Suri is still hooked on the bottle and that Suri dresses in designer clothes while Shiloh is living in hand-me-downs.

The cover is priceless and drives their point home, but at the end of the day, this is cruelty at its worst and I hope the parents sue them into bankruptcy.
