Three Years

That's the sentence handed down today against former House Majority Leader Tom Delay.  He was convicted in November of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering. The sole witness testifying on Mr. Delay's behalf during the sentencing portion was former House Speaker Dennis Hastert.  Hastert said that Delay was motivated, not by greed, but by his desire to help people.
